Hi.
I am looking for a new smartphone and would appreciate advice.
I want to spend less than £100, but want something reasonable that is good value and with a good amount of built-in memory.
At the moment I Comparing the STK Life Plus S and STK One Max. The main differances for me are:
STK Life Plus S:
• Android 7.0 Nougat
• 3GB RAM
• Not clear if there is a memory card slot
• 2800 mAh Long Life Battery
STK One Max.
• Android 8.1 Oreo
• 2GB RAM
• Memory card slot
• 3000 mAh Long Life Battery
• £30 higher price
Advice please: Is it worth the extra £30 for a more up-to-date version of android or can the other be updated? Would the extra battery power be noticeable? Why is the newer phone got less RAM?
Thanks in advance,
Dave.

You’re considering buying from a company that just rebrands designs from the cheapest end of the Chinese makers, and that has a good chance of not being around in a year or two, just buy the cheapest and when it breaks in 6 months go out and buy a phone from a real manufacturer.====0

Thanks for the feed back. I look a break from looking and there are so many different phones that are so similar.
I'm not look along the lines of the Nokia 1 or Motorola E5

With what has happened with Huawei (I don't know what effect it will actually have) I wonder if I am better avoiding the likes of Xiaomi and Cubot too.
As a memory card is almost useless when it comes to installing apps I have been trying to find out how much space the operating system takes up - without success  - so I have a true(er) idea of what memory will actually be available to me.
Are the GO editions as good as the full version? - everything seems to say it is the same, but takes up less space. That makes me question why the two versions?!0 -
I am using Redmi 7 and it is a great phone . Do consider it.0

As d123 said, you aren't going to get anything worthwhile for £100. A friend has a dual SIM Samsung that cost under £200 that is "workable" within limits, I find it awkward to use, but it does work and has been reliable. The really slick smart phones are at the more costly end of the market.
Pop into a phone shop and try a few and see what the compromises are.0 -
I can tell you later how much storage the Moto e play uses.0

I’d go for a used iPhone SE from CEX for a little over your budget. Comes with a 2 year warranty and is running the latest OS so should be future proof. This little phone is a pocket rocket and will handle anything you throw at it app wise. Go for at least 32gb though.0
