So MSE when are you fixing the search function?

Only it's still !!!!!!ed, and there's been no more responses or updates to the thread already posted by One Eye.

So if someone could give any sort of update. Or even an acknowledgement that there is still a problem that would be appreciated.

If another site, such as a bank or supermarket, was this unresponsive about a significant fault that went on for 2 weeks, MSE would (quite rightly) be all over them.

Yes, it is still happening. If you search competition time for posts from the last week containing "win", only posts since about 4am today show up. as others have said, this is a very serious problem for the comps boards as it stops posters checking for duplicates. Has the problem actually been identified? Since you ask if it is still happening, presumably some action has been taken to try to fix it?
