Refurbished iPhone has replacement back
Options
We have discovered today that our second hand, excellent condition iPhone 7, bought in January, has got a third party back case, battery and other internal parts. The website does not specify it won’t have these, but it implies we are getting an almost perfect iPhone. It was bought as a second hand phone with no comment made about replacement parts as there is on renewed/ refurbished.
The gadget is used and in excellent condition. Excellent condition devices are very close to Pristine.
Cosmetically there will be very minor signs of usage, but only if you look closely. It won’t have cracks on the screen or casing.
It usually only has 1-2 marks that stop it being a pristine condition device.
It’s been fully tested, battery tested, restored to factory settings and is in full working order.
Does anyone have any idea how we should approach this with the company? Do we have any rights? There was nothing to imply we were buying anything other than an original iPhone.
Thanks

Was there anything to imply you were buying an original iPhone? There's your answer then.0 -
If the replacement back cover is not the real article, and has the Apple logo thereon, I'm sure Apple would be interested in the entity refurbishing and selling them.
Where was it bought from other than "The website"?0
