I'm up too £7.20 after a quick count today. That's not bad.

I guess these days with contactless payments and credit and debit cards always on hand it's not always easier to use cash. I think I have a happy mixture of both, really. I'm also collecting fivers at the moment. :)

    That's fantastic.

I agree, I don't think money is used as much, someone I was talking to last week mentioned that he thinks in the next 10-20 years cash won't exist, how we have it now, everything will be cashless. Which I agree with him, but I think it'd be a shame.

I've added 60p this week. I have no idea how much is in the tin (it's sealed and I haven't been keeping track) so hopefully will have a nice surprise at the end of the year!

But in that case we won't be able to check our 20p coins for rare ones and make pots of cash if we find one :)

Woot got my first 20p coin of 2017 today. Looking forward to many more.

    hey i'm interested to join,
but I'm taking part in the sealed pot challenge and I just wanted to ask if i can include the total of how many 20ps I've saved here but also put it towards the SPC, or do i have to have the challenges seperate?

    Morning Thora,

Apologies, for some reason I didn't get a notification that you'd posted.

I've now added you to the list on the first page.

You can include your 20p total to the SPC total, I do :D

    Happy saving

    Hi,

Sorry I've been AWOL, moving house, work and generally life getting in the way.

How's everyone getting on with those 20ps?

Any one wishing to join feel free to pop a post on here or drop me a lil message and I'll add you to the list on the first page.

    Thanks

    Hi Pmo2

I was wondering why I wasn't getting updates to the 20p challenge and it was because I haven't subscribe since 2015.

Anyway back now and although I haven't been potting too much this year I have a grand total of £1 added to it. :p
    Barclaycard: £4,217.55/£5 = 0.11% | Tesco £3,810.55/£3,770.55 = 1.05%
    Total: £8,027.80/£5 = 100%/0.06%
    Mortgage £99,692/£51,652.33 51.8%
    Car Loan: £9,217.20/7,527.38 81.67%

    Hi MM,

I didn't get an update that you'd posted, sorry about that.

I have added you to the list on the first page :)

Everyone has been pretty quiet this year on this side of things.

    Happy potting

I'm still collecting my 20 pence pieces! I give the tin a little shake from time to time just to guess how much I now have :rotfl: I probably won't have loads by Christmas, but hopefully enough for a bottle of something nice (ooooh, a nice gin.......or even just the posh tonics :rotfl: ) though I should probably be thinking more along the lines of something nice for the family!!!
