ISA help please

Options
Hi
Please help. I have an ISA that tracks the stock market from Halifax from about 3 years ago that I only put £1000 in. I now have £2000 and have been advised to put that in an ordinary ISA. Can I have one of each or will my best bet be to switch the £1000 to the ordinary ISA and add my £2000 to that! Complete novice at this as you can tell! Thanks for any help!

Do the Halifax sell un-ordinary ISAs?

My guess is that by terming it an 'ordinary ISA' fluffy-duck is referring to a cash mini isa? fluffy-duck - Please could you clarify what you meant.
    Please call me 'Kazza'.
