Turkey Currency

Hi people,

Someone has told me that its better to take English £10 notes to Turkey rather changing to Lira over here. Any thoughts???

    Yes that is the best way in my experience - take some turkish lira with you and then either use £'s there or change to turkish lirs - have fun

    Hi, we're off to Turkey in a couple of weeks too. I have a cash card with cirrus and link icons on it - do you think I'd be able to use it in Turkish ATMs? Be handy instead of carrying cash if I can.

    they'll take anything lol, lira euro pounds (english)

    i changed 1 hundred here just to get me started and used my nationwide card at the atm as you get a far better rate than you do in resort.

    depends which bank you are with, some charge so it's not worth it,

    It's an Abbey savings card, so hopefully it'll be ok.
