Hello! I really like your wish, because I wanted my own housing and a car 5 years ago. I didn’t even have enough money to rent a room. It was a terrible time. Often had to borrow money. But then I found a good job for myself and my life got better. This site helped me a lot in finding a job. That is why I thank God. I wish you all success!

Tuesday & Wednesday have been mainly cloudy but warm/hot & no rain at all :( Managed to line dry a wash load yesterday. Also thoroughly cleaned the fridge at long last :rotfl: but ashamed to say I had to throw several bits away & NOT all of it was DSis’s food :o The silver lining was that the bin was emptied this morning - so the evidence of our wastefulness is gone :rotfl::T Last night DSis & I had egg, chips & baked beans with DSis having burgers & me having corned beef. Did some knitting - the back & the 2 front pieces are now done :T DH phoned from his hotel & was looking forward to his Gusto coffee - he had a machine in his room :D He ended up having fish & chips for dinner & met a couple of friends for beers

Wednesday I have done a quite large sm shop - loads of screaming kids running around in the sm so not a pleasant experience :( I have finished rereading the 2018 Decluttering thread so I will be starting on the 2019 thread :rotfl: DH has phoned twice - has managed to get all his landmarks but it took an age - Apparently Yorkshire was awash with roadworks  Upshot was he won’t be getting home until after 10 p.m. :( DSis & I will be having lamb steaks, boiled new potatoes & peas. When DH gets home he will have eggs, bacon & boiled potatoes.

2266 - 2283 Six drinks cans, 2 glass jars & metal lids, plastic bottle, beer can, food can, 4 lots of cardboard packaging, egg carton, 100 page booklet, bin of paperwork from DH - Recycled
2284 - 2285 Bag of kitchen detritus, ood food from fridge - Binned

WellDone :- villagelife; whmf00001 - so jealous - home grown food :T; parsniphead - an added benefit of decluttering is you become house-proud & garden-proud ;) - I like it :T; Professor greenbee :rotfl:; Cherryfudge very :money: re the water :T & halfway to your target :T; TamsinC - I hope you are counting weeding in your decluttering totals ;); Wednesday2000; Picklepot - Well Done on beating the odds :T; choille - :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

I've made use of my day off by taking a carrier of small items to the charity shop and running various errands in town. It takes me forever to get things to charity, even a small bag!

My list for today and last night:
    Bits of paper (6)
    watering can to DD's b/f.
Glace cherries finished up in some baking
chips left over from the other day (decluttered - ahem - into me)
    2 bins emptied
2 tablet cases that don't fit anything we own
    a coaster
a microwave turntable from a defunct microwave
    a poncho
    a scarf

So my new total is 1,026.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Fashion on the Ration challenge, 2024: Trainers 5 coupons. 5/68
    20.5 coupons used in 2020. 62.5 used in 2021. 94.5 remaining as of 21/3/22

    Evening everyone

Small steps going on here but I can report:
lots of personal paperwork shredded in big shredder at FT job
DD2's uni stuff taken to her room in new student house

I have noted down a phone number where they take old bikes and restore them and sell on at a low price so when I can get into my garage I shall be decluttering some old bikes - but i'm not counting these as yet!

I like all the ideas for using up toiletries. I tend to stockpile then forget what I've got so will check my stores first before I buy more...

Slow day as trying to plan our kitchen for next year and keep getting the measurements wrong DOH:rotfl::rotfl:

Hiya, do as we did, get the professionals round to measure and come up with designs.

They will ask when you want fitting but just tell them you are getting designs as not sure what budget you need to save for.

We started back in February and have only just placed an order.

Been quite busy with RL this week however a few things gone and some tidying done so home looks a lot better than it did a week ago.

    2 x broken riding crops - bin
    2 x beer glasses - CS box
    1 x broken pencil case - bin

Also decluttered loads of spider webs today and a little bit of dust. Plenty more cleaning to do as and when surfaces and walls appear.
