Sun Holidays from £15pp January 2020 Codewords

Sorry to hear that you are affected by this, Essex Boy. And I really don't understand it as you must have been one of the very first people to book!

I too have had my holiday cancelled - for October half term. And have also noticed that suddenly Eurocamp's holidays have gone up in price. I'm trying not to be too cynical and think instead that this is because lots of people are trying to book alternative holidays.
I also had booked a ferry and two further nights at a Eurocamp park to add on to the Sun holiday so that we could extend our stay.

I have been holidaying with Eurocamp for 6 years and booking through the Sun for about 10 and I have never had such a bad experience or indeed shoddy customer service. The person I eventually spoke to at Eurocamp was rude and told me that I was about the 200th person she had spoken to that day, and that they could not refund my holiday, despite them and Greenbank being the same company. as it was the Sun's fault, not theirs. However, they would 'ONLY' keep my deposit of £99 if I cancelled, despite it not being my fault. As the whole thing (2 nights at Duinrell and the ferry crossing) came to £170, I've now got to decide whether I write off the £99 I would lose if I cancelled - or book another 4 day holiday in Europe, which will cost at least £120 extra compared to the Sun holiday. I can ill afford either.

Really, really cheesed off with Eurocamp. And when I said that I had had at least 12 holidays with them over several years, I was told that they couldn't see that on their computer screens and that it didn't make any difference. Will be interesting to see how much this damages their reputation....

Please does anyone know if the ferry was booked through Sun Hols if this has been cancelled too? Or is it just purely the Eurocamp/Greenbank part of the holiday that’s been cancelled? Not received the refund yet (they say it can take up to 4 wks or something) so I’ve no idea and would like to plan a different holiday now. Thank you

I've just received another 'confirmation of booking' email from The Sun, for a break I've already paid in full for on the Parkdean website. Anyone else got a duplicate email?
