    Thanks Savingholmes, I've popped over to subscribe and will have a read this afternoon once DD2 is having a nap.

    Yesterday flew by, I had my first physio session for my back and visited grandparents. I did need to pick up some lunch bits and spent £6.79.

    The item I had sold was collected and paid for - £3 for the mortgage pot. Again, it was a baby item, which sadly don't hold their value as well as other things, so I am just looking at them as money for the mortgage and having space back instead of holding onto something 'in case' I could get a little more for it.

    I'm now at £74.26/£90.47 for my July target. £16.21 to go

    I have two more bits to list today, will check for competitions and surveys. I could also do with getting back into typing work as it's really dropped off the last few months.

    HI - where do you get your typing work from?

    Well done on seling stuff - every little helps. We aren't on a repayment mortgage - just from time to time we make an overpayment or increase the direct debit by small amounts - even just doing that has knocked thousands off.
    Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality by mid 2030
    1) MFW Nov 21 £201,999 with 237 payments to go - now £183,754 Equity 26.5%
    2) Spend on handyman & external building works & new patio door £12.65K
    3) CC £4.9K on 0% spends card but offset by £34.25K savings (part EF, part future home improvement)
    4) Mortgage neutral by June 2030 AVC £9.6K/£127.5K AVC target 7.5% value at 15/4
    5) FI Age 60 annual income target £13.7/30K 45.7%

    Good afternoon.

    I'm just grabbing 5 minutes peace while DD2 is napping.

    Today is going well. I took some inspiration from Earthgirl and got out into nature with DD2 - we went for a walk along a canal and ended up standing watching a baby Heron trying to fish (it was lovely to see), but I was very aware that I was getting some funny looks from the couple of people who passed by :rotfl:

    Other than stalking birds (:D) I have been to one of the two libraries in our wider area to check out summer holiday activities. I've booked DD1 onto two free activities and have signed her up to a summer reading challenge. The other library isn't open today, so I went onto their Facebook page and noted down the activities we would like to book so that I can call them tomorrow.

    I have also looked at two swimming baths, again in our wider area to look at their free swim times and have noted these down too.

    I've also contacted a family member about us going to visit an older relative who lives in an area I am not familiar with so that we can have a day trip over to see them. I want the girls to see family, but it's not always that easy when there's distance and other commitments involved.

    So, all in all we're on track to have a fun, but frugal summer holiday :money:

    In other news, I've rounded my account down by £1.47, so I now have £14.74 left to find in order to meet my July OP target :T

    Well done on getting organised for the long summer holiday. It's good to find free and cheap things to do with the kids all year round but especially in the longer holidays.

    You're doing brilliantly with your July OP target, nearly there and only half way through the month! Will you carry on if you reach it and make a bigger OP?

    My DD used to love the summer reading challenge - getting a medal - and in our case a photo with the local MP and in the paper.

    Thanks :o I'm trying to plan ahead, as I have been finding that my lack of planning is usually the biggest cause of overspending.

    I think I will carry on and see how far I can get. More so because I had another sale at about 11pm last night, being woken up to a kerching sound coming from my mobile phone :D £8.06 to OP pot after fees and postage.

    I'm now at £83.79/£90.47 for my July OP target :j

    Well done. You inspired me - and I have withdrawn £3.60 from Qu£dco which I will OP on my mortgage too. I have £146 tracked in there waiting to be cashed out - but if I get bigger lump sums - should pay off my CC really.

    I'm a woman on a mission today.

    I've gone back through the house and have found more stuff to sell. Some more un-needed baby items, DD1 school pumps that were sent home yesterday (she's outgrown them and they're in like new condition given that they've been used for 1/2 hour a week for 30 something weeks). I've popped them on a quick wash first :D

    Yesterdays sale was posted on this mornings school run too.

    Isn't it amazing how when you're trying to meet a target, you start looking at things differently (what was 'maybe i'll list that in the future' is already online before anyone blinks :D).
