This morning has been spent listing items on Ebay and Shpock. 12 Items listed in total, 2 more to go (needed to stop as my phone battery ran out ;)).

DD2 and I have taken the opportunity to have some lunch and then I'll go and finish the listings. I'm sure I'll find more things lurking that can go, but that will do for today :money:

£12.10 received from survey site, plus £0.97p account round down = £13.07 sent to mortgage!

    Revised July target at £13.07/£90.47
2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)

    :hello:Hi

I missed posting yesterday, as I was tired and just plonked on the sofa with a G&T once the kids were in bed ;)

So, I did go back and list those other two bits online the other day. Most of them are on Shpock and a couple of higher value items have been put on Ebay.

Not many people have viewed them at the minute, but I guess that's because I posted them during the week, we'll see.

6p more sent to the mortgage after I rounded down an account to the nearest pound. Now at £13.13/£90.74 (revised July OP target).

I had a spend yesterday as I had my hair cut (badly needed) and my car needed to be taxed, but today is an NSD.

OH has had notification that his company Sharesave is due to be cashed in during August. The share price has increased, which is good, and the money is likely to go towards the wedding pot, as we're due to make final payments to some suppliers throughout the Autumn and it will mean that our aim of not carrying any wedding related debt will stay on track.

We're moving in the right direction, even if it is 6 pence at a time :rotfl:

    Good Afternoon!

Things are plodding along here. Once payday has gone, there tends to be very little to report.

None of the items I have had listed have sold, so I'm toying between leaving them a bit longer or reducing them to try and shift things and get money for this OP target. Ebay has a few 'watchers' but no actual buyers :wall:

Not quite a no spend weekend, as I had a baby shower to attend yesterday and bought a drink while I was there. Presents had already been bought earlier in the year in the sales.

Today I have spent £29 for DD1 to attend a week of intensive swimming lessons. She is getting stronger and we want to encourage her to continue learning this skill while she is enthusiastic enough to go willingly. This will keep her entertained for an hour a day during the holidays ... and I figure there are more expensive things we could have chosen :o

In other news - OH thinks I've lost it ... I just won a competition and rang him at work as I was excited  ... him, not so much. It's 10 free games of bowling to use over the summer holidays (M-F of course) ... I fail to see how he's unimpressed, but then again, maybe it was the fact I rang him to tell him about it :rotfl:

    Good Evening x

    I hope everyone is well.

Today has been a fairly busy day, but has been rewarding. I spent some time this morning checking bank accounts to make sure we were on track, and we are ... just.

I paid off some wedding spends and my car tax on the credit card, so that is all clear now too.

I managed to sell a baby item for £35 (it was a bit of a haggle fest as the person basically wanted a £260 car seat set for !!!!!! all). I know the second hand market is saturated with baby stuff, so went down from £40 to £35, but held my ground there. The lady then wanted a full demonstration of the item which took almost 20 minutes ... but we got there in the end and I've sent the money to the mortgage as an OP. I'm grateful for the OP and having some space in the house back not having to store things we no longer need.

I'm now at £48.13/£90.47 for my July target.

I need to get some shopping tomorrow, and have set a firm target of £35 max for the groceries.

Hi Cosmo Cat! Thanks for dropping in x

I agree, it's great to be half way to this months target and I have agreed with OH to list a piece of furniture that DD2 has outgrown, so hopefully that will sell quickly and free up some space. I'll commit to having that listed for sale by the end of the week.

    Good Morning!

I'm just dropping in before everyone piles down the stairs.

Yesterday I got 3 more items listed for sale, including the furniture item I was talking about. I put them on Shpock, but think I will duplicate the listing on the bay of e to try to get things moving.

I put 4 other things on ebay yesterday, again duplicate listings of shpock. The idea is to drum up more interest by making the items more widely seen.

Still have watchers on 4 of my 8 ebay items, but no actual sales as yet.

In other news, the grocery shop came in bang on budget, using cash the last two trips has seen to that. It has kept me from throwing extra bits and pieces in and just sticking to the list I have.

Have a good day whatever you're up to x
