    Thanks for the photo.
    The digital bit will have its peak/off-peak rate changes controlled by radio signal. However, the time that the heating charges up may still be controlled separately by the mechanical side. If that is the case, there's the chance it would not be synchronised with the cheap rate, with the clocking being wrong as you identified.

    Yes, I see now. The two units probably arent linked so the mechanical timer may need to be set to coincide with the off peak times programmed into the digital meter.
    Although, there is a mechanical click at 3.10pm so somethings happening.

    Also, Im not sure if the Economy 10 is just for the heating circuit or all electrics.
    The white switch on the left in this pic is just for the Electricaire charging circuit. The onboard fan still works when this switch is off.
    The brown box is mains.
    The switch board above is all other circuits including the hot water immersion.

    Its ok. Off peak is for everything, not just for heating.
    Checked by turning kettle on and looking at which set of numbers changed on the meter.
