    Insurance companies are well known for milking existing customers. I wonder if the wrap would cost as much if you were a new customer? Might be worth a try getting a new quote and then discusing it with them. Or as others say, just go somewhere else.

    Vehicle wrapping is done by 2 categories of motorists - commercial vehicle operators and boy racers. As, presumably, OP does not fall into the former category the insurers obviously assume the latter and price accordingly.

    Of course it is. It's not only an option, but inevitable sooner or later. Wraps have a finite (and relatively short) life.

    My bet is that it's an old Audi A3, and the wrap cost about half the value of the car!!!
    How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.38% of current retirement "pot" (as at end April 2024)

    Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. Tried Adrian Flux and it was more than the quote from my existing insurer.

    @molerat is that your own conclusion or factual in regard to how insurers categorise wraps?

    @seashell, unfortunately it isn’t an old A3 or an A3 at all.

    If you don't adjust the v5 (you don't need to) then why should it affect premiums? I'd not be telling the insurers.

    Yes, you do - and have had to for over five years.

    Then you'd look surprised when the bill for the payout from your claim gets handed back to you.
