Thanks. I have seen a few charity shops refuse stuff when helping with clearing village jumble sales etc. It can be hard to get rid of stuff. Makes me want to buy less and contribute less to our future landfill sites (plus save money in the short term too of course).

It's a good total but all spent already! just done a quick few payments off our cards and ready for the next batch of ebay selling... I haven't sold anything on there for a few years so I need to get my head around the postage rates etc.

Just done some balance transfers between credit cards...that'll save a bit in the long term... I HATE credit cards... blooming trap you into debt so easily! But we all need fuel and food for our families! I wouldn't mind so much if I had used them for lifes' luxuries!

Don't forget to check for codes for webuybooks to make your sale a bit bigger. Also check if they are on cashback sites.

For prolific make sure you have verified your account so they trust you and look for prescreening questions. Complete those to brighter to more surveys.

Thanks Aesop - I stumbled across the prescreening questions yesterday and so hopeful I will get some soon.

I have got some cashback through of £16.35, so a total for this month of £35.04.

In the meantime I packaged up some books/DVDs etc (split between webuyanybooks and Magpie to try and maximise my returns) and dropped off the parcels. Now back to the surveys and listing some more stuff on eBay so I can time any auctions to finish by next Sunday if I can tear myself away from the tennis :)

Just finished a big bit of freelance editing but missed the payment deadline so can't include it yet. It will come through in 2 weeks and will be about £110. Still leaves another £120 to scrape up from somewhere...

welcome back Catherine and huge well done.

I still need to sell my old car. was trying to get one of these scrap merchants to come take it for £250. save me hassle of selling.

I sold my car to webuyanycar and was very impressed with them. I just didn't want the stress of selling my car privately and the companies that claim they will come to your house and buy anything all said my car was too old!

Thankyou for this!! I have been clicking on Prolific and wondering why I never get any survey invites. Never spotted the pre screening before and have just spent a good half hour bringing it up to date so hopefully I might get the odd invite now. :D

They are only offering £125 + an admin fee of £50. although I did see them on tcb and that would cover the admin fee
