changing vodafone handset to work on O2

My phone is on a 12 month contract with vodafone

The 12 month is nearly up

Is it easy to change it to O2 pay as you go??

I would like to use one of my free O2 sims which I got thanks to this site.

    If you tell us which make and model the phone is, folks will point you in the right direction to unlock it.
    Have you tried the O2 SIM in it ? It may be that the phone is already unlocked. If not, Nokias are easy to unlock and most other makes and models can be unlocked to work on any network.

    The phone is a GX10i

    I havnt tried the sim in it yet as the contract has not finished yet?

    Can I try the sim in the phone and then re-insert the vodafone sim?? without mucking things up?

    You can, you will probably find that Vodafone phones tend to be unlocked on all networks so an O2 sim should work fine - won't mess things up in the least, but may ask for your security code the first time you do it.

    I thought Vodafone locked most of their handsets noiw especially the Vodafone Live! ones. Either way there are quite a few of the online unlockers who can provide a code, or could ask Vodafone and see whether they will provide it

    To my knowledge all vodafone live handsets are locked and i think the gx range was only ever released on vodafone, you will be able to tell if the phone its self has voda branding on it then it will be locked.

    Also 02 online do the contracts with the extra texts on it too.
    The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
