:T Great news beanie . I'm delighted for you. :A

Welcome back Mrs Lush . Sounds like you've had a great time.

I don't have a liquidiser mrsp so my soups are always chunky. Another thing I do is cook casserole recipes for 4 with meat for 2 then eat the left overs as chunky soup the next day.

No chocolate tonight, just about to have my apple & cottage cheese. :)

Welcome back Mrs Lush, glad you had such a relaxing time. And well done beanie on the loss.

Felt really tired and run down yesterday but feel a lot better today. Think it's because I forced myself to workout last night and the endorphins really do help.

    Menu for today is:

B - porridge (HEB and 1/2 HEA), strawberries
    L - Salmon and broccoli
D - SW Bolognase, spaghetti, side salad
    S - 2 clementines, vanilla chai (1/2 HEA), popcorn (2.5 syns)

Discovered my pukka herbs vanilla chai teabags last night lurking in a cupboard so thought I'd heat up the other half of my almond milk and have a milky chai tonight as the weather is getting cold again. Hope you all have a good day, I'm off to stare at spreadsheets again!

    Morning all

I've just realised I haven't acknowledged the chart this week, I was sure I posted yesterday, must have dreamt it!

Anyway, thanks for the chart Shala and well done Duchy for SOTW. :T

Welcome back to the newly married Lush :D. I'm pleased everything went off well for you.

Beanie - that's great news, well done. When you think you were so close to quitting, you've done a great job in getting back to target again. Interesting to hear about the super BMI, I'm going to check that out as there's no way I'll ever get to below 25.

Orlao - why not set yourself a lower target and if you achieve it, all well and good, if you struggle to achieve it, just call target at the weight you're at now, as there's a 3lb either way buffer. When I got to target previously I had areas that could be described as flabby, but I think it was loose skin rather than fat. You may find that exercise helps to firm things up over time.

Maman - if you wanted smooth soup a stick blender would do the trick and doesn't take up much room. I quite like chunky soup myself though and I like the idea of using leftover casseroles for soup.

I've decided to stop going to group - I only had a few weeks left before I go to Spain anyway, but it was the whole festive taster session thing that they're doing tonight that decided me. It's an opportunity for people to make low syn treats that you wouldn't normally have, but I'm trying to retrain my palate so that I don't want sweet things. I'm also trying to eat less artificial sweetener, so I'm pleased in a way that SW have recognised that it's not the best thing since sliced bread as some seem to think.

The kind of Christmas I'll have in Spain won't be anything like my Christmas's from the past when I'd be surrounded by temptation. DH and I will be going out for Christmas dinner and I'll have the works, but then life will return pretty much to normal - or as normal as it can be, living in Spain with the increased level of socialising we do when we're there!

    Have a good day everyone.

    LL :)

thanks for the warm welcome back everyone :)

last night I had my hot chocolate and avoided the wedding cake and mountain of sweets we have left over! changed tea to gammon with sweet potato 'chips' (discs with a sprinkle of black pepper and pinch of mixed herbs) with carrot, orange pepper, beetroot and an egg.

I am continuing my good intentions today:
start of the day: 2 1 syn mochas to warm me through and get me going
breakfast: Weetabix (heb) with milk (from hea) pear
    lunch: as yesterday
    mid afternoon: hard boiled egg
tea: not 100% sure yet. the others are having turkey escalopes but they're something like 12.5 syns each . I may split one with littlie for 8 syns. they'll have chips I will have the last of my cous cous and lettuce/tomatoes/orange pepper/shredded carrot/pickled onion

will have the rest of my hea in tea/coffee at work today. depending on how easily little one goes down I may have a hot chocolate before bed (2syn) but ideally I need to up my fluid intake. easiest way I find is the free pop but I don't like to have too much now as it's so gassy. I may get out a bottle of Ribena winter spice as an alternative to tea/coffee/hot choc and alternate that with squash (nas)

You're really back in the zone lush.:T

I understand you not bothering with group lois. Tasting sessions have never really taken off in my group as it's 9.30 in the morning and not a time to be eating party food. Personally I've little taste for sweet stuff so I just sampled things like curry cake or squares of frittata. I think it's also because although I like cooking I don't do baking and most people seemed to be finding ways of making cakes in one form or another. At least you've got a set of new books to take back to Spain. You know you only have to ask for any info. on the website and we'll get it for you. Do you stock up on anything you can't get when you're away? Do they sell Frylight in Spain?

I had thought of getting a blender but because I've managed fine without one I'm always wary of accumulating stuff in the kitchen cupboards. Do other people use them regularly?

We're out with friends tonight and I'm going to go off plan for the one meal plus wine syns. I've been almost 100% on plan (except for judging by eye rather than weighing & measuring) for over a week so confident of being in range at tomorrow's WI.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: veggie (mushroom, spring onion, tomato, pepper) omelette and pickles
    D: off plan
Syns: squirt of syrup and many others I expect.

Have spoken to my consultant and as long as I don't have a gain next week, I will call it my target. I have spent the last year playing with the same few pounds and am fed up. We agreed the no gain so that it didn't give me licence to pig out this week since I'm pretty fed up.
    Roll on next Wednesday.:beer::beer:

Good idea midge .I found that when I got to target I carried on losing although it had taken forever to lose the last few pounds. I kept being told to go home and pig out to stop me falling below. I think it was because SW had become second nature so I just carried on eating that way. I still do this and just go off plan when I'm eating out or on holiday.
    Good Luck.:)

    Hi everyone

0.5lb gain on the scales this morning

Giving myself a good kick up the rear as my row on the chart is truly shocking. I *will* have a loss next week! Been feeling a bit out of sorts lately which I think is the reason I've been eating all kinds of rubbish but back to basics next week, writing everything down in a food diary, weighing & measuring my HEs (always weigh HEB but often end up estimating HEA).

Hope everyone else is ok, well done the losers this week and target achievers :T:T
