BT Hub6 wont stay connected to Smart TV

Options
I cant watch Netflix / youtube etc. on my Samsung TV as it either wont load or when it does load it buffers like crazy. This wasn't a problem with the previous Hub I had. All other mobile devices etc work fine. It is a wireless connection. The TV is down a flight a stairs but really not that far.

I have been on chat with BT 3 times now. Seemed to make progress last night where they talked me through splitting the connections (2.4gz and 5gz) and putting them on different channels. It worked for a bit after resetting the hub but now back to being rubbish.

Anyone any suggestions before I try BT for a 4th time??

Thanks

I would like to try and fix the issue with the supposedly new and improved smart hub first before giving up on it.

    I wouldn't bother.

Personally I wouldn't ever use ISP supplied kit.

Try powerline adapters instead of wireless - one behind the router, one behind the TV. Works a treat for me, I watch the footie on BT Sport HD woth no buffering! As you're with BT, see if they'll do you a pair of Mini connectors for £20 as if you were joining BTTV, if not look on Ebay, I got 4 for £25 delivered - and these ones are gigabit rather than 300 or 500MBit adapters.

Other than the restriction on the WAN side, BT's HH5 was a quite capable bit of kit. Sadly it appears HH6 is undoing all of that.
