I've had Amtico fitted in the living area. I need a new mat for inside the patio door.
I know Amtico make very expensive mats and the fitters said | could also use a turtle mat. They suggested the cheaper mats were not suitable because the rubber backing can affect the Amtico.
What doormats do you have on your Amtico, what are the pros and cons?

was told the same and out fitter supplied one. Its actually really good but a bit dearer. TBH for the cost of the stuff, the mat is not beyond the reach. I'm not taking any risks0

It does. We weren't told this and now have two patches under mats that are discoloured.
If your flooring is dark, it may not show but it does on our light floor.0 -

So should I get an Amtico one, or are Turtle mats just as good? The Turtles make more varied designs.
Also, what type of mat is good for outside the patio door?0 -
I have had a pale cream Amtico floor in kitchen for several years. I always use Turtle mats and have never had any staining.
Outside I have a cheap plastic mat from Ikea....it is kind of spiky like grass leaves would be so good to scrape any hard dirt off shoes and is not ruined by the rain.0 -
Karndean and turtle mats. Not worth the risk of discolouration caused by cheap mats.0

Are those the ones with latex backings?0 -
I have ordered this one for inside the patio door:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Home-Kitchen/Turtlemat-Retro-Spot-Multi-Grip-75-120cm/B003ZJ7ZCO/ref=sr_1_11?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1489693322&sr=1-11&keywords=turtle+mat
I was going to order one with a tree picture but I couldn't decide which way around to put the tree (decisions, decisions!), so ordered the spots instead.
