What a lovely weekend, weather-wise. We took a short drive out to sit on a bench and eat an ice cream - it felt like being on holiday. What a cheap date I am!
My purse is bursting with change again so I am potting £10.91 today. Can't wait for November as I think I've been potting really well this year so far. Just nipped in to apologise for not posting in quite a while
Sorry to hear that our matriarchal leader SueUU is not well and wish her a speedy recovery :lovethoug
My potting is going quite well I think, the pot is quite heavy now, I'm hoping for a substantial amount this year as I'll be having family staying with me over Christmas and New Year so any extra cash will be extremely helpful. Just hope I can keep my sanityMFiT-T6 #17

Hi everyone, I haven’t posted in a while. My potting has been going steadily and I’ve paid off the credit card again. My pop died suddenly and the trip back needed to happen ASAP so everything went on the credit card. I had to change jobs recently due to unrealistic overtime expectations and the payout from all my TiL meant I could pay it all off and contribute to my little brothers trip which was nice.
I hope everyone has been well.Number 4950 -
I'm so sorry for your loss Thecatsanddogsmother. Dodgy looking hugs to you :grouphug: I hope your new job is much better than your old one, though the job change seems a strange blessing in a way to give you the money you needed and took the financial stress away for you at such a sad time.
Lots of lovely potting going on right now are we all getting pot happy with that 2 day summer we had? :rotfl:
Still potting away here, we have again decided that pot money will be used toward a holiday, this time in 2019 I quite like having a purpose for my pot, it motivates me to chuck in a little bit more as its 'for something special' not just a 'oooo look we have pennies!' on pot opening day. Do other potters have a pot spending goal? or am I just strange? probably the latter but i doubt thats just because of my pots :rotfl:
Time to go and do boring stuff like hoover and go to the builders yard i'm much rather be holiday planning and crocheting! TheCatsAndDogsMothher,I am sorry for your loss.Gentle hugs for you.
Jake's Mum,yes,Sue did a great job speaking to every new SPCer individually.I think that sort of welcome must give an impression of "thread friendliness".The thread is missing you,Sue .
I potted £12 in £2 coins that had been milling around in my purse for a few weeks..I think 2018 will be a record for £2 coins (for those who don't know,I aim to pot every £2 coin that crosses my path-I think last year I only had to spend two of them before I could get them to the pot).SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

I don't think i've ever spent a £2 coin since they were introduced :rotfl: I still remember getting a right cob on when DD lost her first tooth and the tooth fairy had to bring a shiny £2 coin, I was not happy! :rotfl:
Worst thing about pot opening day for me, having to take all those lovely shinies and give them back to the bank  Every year DH makes me, I would seriously build one of those money bins like Scrooge McDuck had on ducktales and fill it with every £2 coin I could find :rotfl:
I think I have some change in my purse to pot but haven't managed to get there, too busy booking villas and flights and stuff
Lovely to see everyones potting, keep posting about it, i'm extremely nosey :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £0/£10000
