Cashback sites Investing

I’m thinking of investing in a stocks and shares ISA - this was quoted on Martins Guide “as an extra boon, members of specialist cashback websites can be paid when they sign up to some financial products” I’ve checked both top cashback and quidco with no joy, has anyone had any luck with this?

From a quick look just now, both Topcashback and Quidco have current offers with various S&S ISA providers, alongside other financial products and services.

Nutmeg, Fidelity and various brands of Friendly Society (Scottish/Foresters/Shepherds) are listed at https://www.topcashback.co.uk/category/isas-and-savings/ and https://www.quidco.com/finance/

I wouldn't be too swayed by cashback offers though, these can easily be outweighed by higher charges for your investments and the range of products available at (relatively) small niche players is likely to be significantly lower than mainstream providers, so, as ever with investing, figure out what your objectives are and how best to achieve them (i.e. what you want to invest in) before thinking about platforms and costs....

Many of the financial bonuses are offered by really awful investment products. (those gimmicks need paying for)

Remember that you are investing to invest. Not to get some gimmick. That said, there is the odd one where you can do the minimum amount and period to get the gimmick and then pull out and do something proper.
