It's possible that LBS will close this issue to further subscriptions before the next anniversary. Perhaps that has always been planned, hence the £6,000 limit?

It just said you can't hold more than £6,000, and use 4 was open for several months after i opened. Plus if you deposited £50 a month that would take 10 years to reach £6,000. So i reckon it's open ended in a way.

Take another look at that link. Well down the page, below "Key Features" it offers 30%AER (no decimal point)

Do you think we could hold them to that?

I'm expecting them to close this account on the next anniversary, as they did with Issue 3. If not, I'm going to have to revise my plans!

Does anyone have, or have had, this account? I'd like to know what happens when you reach £6,000, as I am close to doing.

    How close are you please?

My account was opened in October 2016 so I will have to make a withdrawal in August.

Withdrawals via post or in branch only so I will post my passbook to my branch on Saturday 18th.

Don't want to post it the following week because there is a Bank holiday.

Do you know if you need ID to make a branch withdrawal?

    Probably.

I always take a passport and a recent bank statement or utility bill with my name and address just in case.

Yes, I'd take some, When I did my annual withdrawal last year, I was asked for ID, I'd brought some with me, as I'd been surprised before at Leeds Building Society when trying to close the Issue 2 Regular Saver, and I didn't bring any with me.
