Brexit - section 75 protection

Another case of Brexit paranoia. This really is a non-issue but if you are that worried book a holiday in the UK.
All our experience and common-sense suggest that this will be a non-problem, but this is a situation where our experience is a very poor guide to what will happen. Since insurance companies are refusing to accept this risk, perhaps the best advice is to book a package so that you have at least some protection. (And that means making sure that you book a true package rather than simply buying separate flights and hotels from a wholesaler like On The Beach.)0 -

Hopefully everybody will hold off of booking because they're worried about Brexit & the prices will drop because of it!
I've got 2 post-Brexit holidays booked so far (including one the week after Brexit) - no concerns whatsoever.0 -

Indeed, I have one booked to leave on the 31st March!0 -
The UK's withdrawal from the EU will not be smooth sailing and I am sure there will be some issues and problems along the way as we, as a nation, change our behaviours, some processes and adapt to new rules. We will adapt.
The OP asked about a holiday flight in May and impact of booking separate hotel arrangements and if this will be impacted by BREXIT.
I feel confident that the OP will not have any problems.0 -
I feel confident in my Ireland cottage booking and stena ferry booking.

I'm looking at booking a holiday in May next year and would like to book the flights and hotel separately. I've heard that a package holiday affected by Brexit would be ATOL protected and you would get a refund if you could not get to your destination due to Brexit flight disruption. If you were to book separately on a credit card would your holiday be protected in the same way using section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act?
I'd like to go ahead and book. We can't stop our life for this Brexit disaster but my husband is cautious.
Thanks in advance

Count how many times the words ‘expected’ and ‘desirable’ are used in this document, and a lack of the use of the word ‘guaranteed’.
No tin hats, but also absolutely no cast iron promises.Legal team on standby0
