    Hello Everyone,

So far so good, yesterday was a NSD!

    Went foraging for sloes
DD had a friend over and they played all morning.
    Went to the park

I have cashed in £40 from survey and working towards others, purchased another Christmas gift, the stash is growing...

Food at home today, left over pasta meatballs tonight.
Might go to softplay as it raining.

Keep a watchful eye on the budget as I not working currently, I have put 2 spends on my CC so I need to keep some money back for them.

I need to keep an eye on my gas bill as it has gone up dramatically but I don't know why. I thing the clock might be incorrectly set.

    Hello All,

The gas bill got sorted it was estimated and no way near as high as I thought, thank goodness.

Popped into town today, got some cosmetics that will see me through the rest of the year.

Purchased a new baby gift in the sale.

Listed some old toys on Ebay whilst the child was at school.

Managed to get hold of some at Yougov as I haven't had any survey for a year apparently they have reset my account.

    Cooked food at home.

    Evening all :hello:
Thankfully, today went much more smoothly than yesterday - I had lovely classes, but I do have a 2 hour lesson with year 10 again tomorrow  I've planned carefully, which is as much as I can do - I'll just need to see how it goes otherwise.
I've bagged another nsd, just by being generally busy. Made omelette for dinner. :D

Morning all :hello: your days sounds very productive DNMS I've some things to do here, am WFH again but my parents are kindly coming to take my small out for a few hours so I can get some done so I must be uber productive in that time. Other things:
    Check banking, surveys and FPL
Get a few things from 'stores' aka the garage and top up various pots in the kitchen, porridge, fabric softener, DW tabs, sultanas. Found a wm cleaner in there so have out that on.
Made DD packed lunch. All hm - wonder whether that will last past week 2 hope so :rotfl:
Remembered (just :p) that I had put pizza dough on last night in BM. Must split in two, make pizza pinwheels with one half and freeze the other
Put 2 loads of washing away
    Walk with friend tonight

That'll do for now. Enjoy your day. Purps.

Morning all, it's a late start for me as my mind wouldn't switch off and I was still awake at 4am. I didn't but I need to make a new rule never to buy anything when I am sleep deprived, some of the carp I was considering doesn't bear thinking about.

I did however come up with a logo idea so that's my job for today (just as soon as I've finished my tea!)

I need to pop to the bigger Mr T to get some value cat litter, toilet rolls, bread, potatoes and eggs. I'll have a quick look in the freezer before I go for dinner inspiration.

Must ring S@ntander, I foolishly paid some savings onto an old CC which now has a credit balance, I need this moved to the account I pay my mortgage from.

Need to ring Vlrgin and find out why they think I am a month behind again with DSs contract. I also still need to update his CV so he can apply for the job at the pub his friend works at. I feel like a bad mum putting my stuff first but I am the main (only) breadwinner and if I go down we all go down.

I'd like to photograph some stuff for selling if I get the chance, I must make time as the extra money, if I can make some, will come in really handy.

Have a good day, all! :)

    Hello all,

Back to reality for me after spending a long weekend in Rome for our first wedding anniversary. Mr Pea and I loved it! We even brought back just over a quarter of the spends we took, which has been converted back into pounds and will be used for food shopping :money:. Hadn't been abroad for seven years!

I had the dentist on Tuesday which set me back £76 for a check-up and hygienist appointment (budgeted). I have been quoted £3500 to have my teeth straightened with braces for 6 months. Will someone please confirm that this is an obscene amount of money and that I should just live with wonky teeth??! The dentist is quite pushy and was telling me all about a 'training course' he's going to in Las Vegas, including a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon. I'm guessing it's this sort of thing my £3500 would be funding! The dentist offers 0% finance which I could pay over 12 months but this would seriously impact our saving for a house. I shouldn't do it, right?

I've worked out an extreme savings plan for next year which means we can save about £8,000 towards a house. We'll have around £800 for holidays which will probably be camping and one cottage holiday. I won't have any money for clothes which could be tricky! I know a house is more important than straight teeth in my heart...

I'm now doing a compressed week at work, working full-time over four days and having a Wednesday off. I can't wait to spend more time with our pooch and having a breather mid-week. Fingers crossed it'll reduce the work stress I suffer from.

Other than that, I did an Aldi shop on Tuesday so all meals from stores this week including taking lunch to work. Banking checked and savings moved in to various pots :)

Shop around. That sounds like a lot of money.

Back in the day princess-pea only a very few had braces, they were a rarity, now they seem to be the in thing. Personally for £3500 I would rather save for a house than have perfectly straight teeth. That's just my opinion but when I look at my teeth I always think would I have needed braces as I have a few wonky teeth, but if my gnashers work, they'll do me just fine. Once you have your house and feel like you really want them done and can afford then there is always the future.

Banking and d.debits checked first thing-everything is controlled and budgeted for.
Low spend day, DD just went out for value cat litter for me. Have been trying to hold off main shopping so I can use my voucher.
It is the season for landmark birthdays. It always goes quiet for me during the summer but come the autumn it picks up again on the birthday front. Presents and quirky presents all bought and ready, it's just getting them ready to send. Have stamps from the royal mail surveys to pay for any postage.
Have checked stores and I have more than enough to feed DD boyfriend this weekend (including a small YS m+s gammon that I will cook up for rolls) without going out of my way to spend extra. Really happy about this.
Did my end of August balances and updated my spends book. Coming to the end of my DIY budget so I need to get saving again.
I'm still tired from the weekend, leg really swollen. I'm at the hospital tomorrow aswell- I can feel a lecture coming on! I've been with the same specialist 20 years and it is only when he threatens to admit me that I truly listen!!
Well thats about it from me, nothing else to report. Have a great evening everyone x
