They are actively taking down repos as well , two major players last month shut down .
Yes football the EPL are the ones targeting IPTV streams in the UK .

But my reply was to the question of cracking down on Kodi users as some people think Kodi is full of stuff . Its not its just a media player with no content at all . Users add content .

Yes once you have followed instructions on how to get kodi onto a fire stick you then need to put a build onto it which is done the same way as on any device with kodi. If anyone wants a suggestion I can do so via pm, just let me know.

In theory users can be prosecuted for illegal downloads, but like TV detector vans, it is an toothless threat :-)

For Downloads but not for streaming I believe.

As well I think they're having a tilt at those who actually supply "Fully loaded" Kodi devices.

It is possible to do it yourself though.

To download or stream in itself is not illegal. The [civil] offence that you commit is if, when streaming, you also share file(s) upstream as well as receiving downstream (which is the default behaviour of BitTorrent). Of course, if nobody shared upstream then there wouldn't be anything for people to receive downstream...

No Kodi is 100% legal .

Kodi is merely an application for playing & displaying content - nothing illegal in itself.

The Kodi cat is completely out of the bag and it isn't going back in despite all the scaremongering.

People with builds older than 17 will struggle though, as most of the sources changed to https after the latest "crackdown" ..

However, installing new version + build of your choice is childsplay

17.4 is the latest version of kodi but it's not a build. As I have said, if anyone wants a build suggested just let me know. The one I have is pretty good. There's no ads at all. They have a choice of builds depending on what you want. 1 of them does require a small subscription but the rest are free. They also sell preloaded boxes for those who want that. We don't give them any money. We use one of the free builds and put it on our own devices ourselves.

Donna, 17.4 IS the latest build of Kodi.

A build is the definition given to a compiled piece of source code.
