    Hi Guy's,
    I tried 7005 and the unit has now come up with "wait 30m" so I guess it is not the correct code, I have checked the serial number again and it is definately M235307, any ideas?

    Where did you get M235307 from, if anywhere other than directly from the sticker on the unit (or the screen on a 4500) it cannot be trusted.

    Sorry....will only be available from the Main Dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service to obtain this code

    It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

    When I recently totally flattened the battery on my Golf the system did not ask for the code. Asking the RAC man why he advised that the R5100 radio,when power is restored will interrogate the ECU and checks the chassis reference (PIN No) and if it considers it is still in the correct vehicle will re -programme itself. You only need the code if you are fitting the radio in a different car.
