We probably have a month before we are completely finished, but the worst is behind us (I hope)....quite a few people have said to me that it's like childbirth - when it's all over you are happy and you forget about the pain...but tbh I think it will be a long while before I forget about the pain - I think I have PTSD :rotfl:
    #FirstWorldProblems (IKR)

I hope you're right about the childbirth thing! I was thinking of doing another project after this one, that was until I lived through the last two weeks of housebuilding hell!

The reason I am learning DIY is that I simply cannot stand having the builders around again, although I can't put a new boiler in or a woodburning stove, so both of those will have to be the professionals. OH loathes doing it, but can and will in fits and starts but generally does as little as he possibly can. Over breakfast he brightly suggested we get someone in to paint the front door and frame; I sort of lost it. Some things can wait until next year.

    19/31 please, Shaggy.

Learning DIY is very sensible. We can all well do without the stress of begging tradespeople to actually finish a job. I haven't even paid the full amount yet and they still don't seem interested.

    7/7 AF days please Shaggy.

And 2/5 for the school day challenge.

It's amazing how kindness and generosity can derail us, isn't it
I've really appreciated not having to cook with everything that's been going on, but I'm looking forward to some proper home-cooked dinners for a while. Absolutely sick of the sight of take-away grub!

The in-laws have been very helpful recently so can't thank them enough, but yes - it's very easy to slip when a chicken chow mein is on offer!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

I think we should go for fabrab. You should be renamed!:D

Adrian Chiles is in the media today about a programme he's doing next week on social drinking. It looks interesting but very familiar to those of us on here. It's good to know we're ahead of the pack!:D

No drinking for me today. It's target day and plenty of bonus opportunities left.:D

10/10 AFDs please Shaggy and 2/4 for the SNC.
