This is amazing! Thanx alexj2002!
I just don't understand HOW this can happen?? Surely it must be a loophole within eBay and if it is my guess is that it won't be around for very long but good while it lasts! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;DThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -
Genius ! Sheers genius ;D
I have been outbid by just 1 pence - now I know what I have to do
Just hope this tip doesn't get "out" :-X.0 -
I don't believe this to be illegal as it is shown on eBay's website.
Not nitpicking here, but where exactly do you mean ?.0 -

That happened to me in the beginning. What you have to do is be on the bidding page. Then change it to .com then hit enter.

I believe alexj2002 meant illegal in eBay terms not in a country. I am sure if eBay were to know about this they would not be too happy!! After all this breaks the most basic rules of eBay and what it stands for. Although this is good for bidders, I do wonder how good (or should I say bad) it is for sellers...?? :-/The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0 -
I thought this was some amazing loophole, then I realised it doesn't tell you the other bidders maximum bid, only their current high bid (which your told on the main page anway). What relevance does it have to know what the people bellow the top bidder have bid? You're not competing against these people, your only competin against the top bidder and so only his bid amount is relevant, and that was never kept a secret anyway.0

Thank-you Thank-you THANK-YOU!!!!
This will be very VERY handy!
Cheers alexj2002!0 -
By illegal I meant against eBay's T&C's but by being on eBay USA you may be breaking laws in some countries (like it is illegal to be on a UK Banking website from some foreign countries).
As for the usefullness it's useful to see what others have bid and guess how likely they are just to increase their bid by a pound or two (in which case a £5 at the end should clinch it) or whether their increments are bigger. You're bidding against all the bidders not just the highest one - one might just come back with a last minute bid at the end.Alex Jones0
