    I'm wondering if there is any link between a blog's "alexa ranking" compare with it's ability to earn money.
    I've had a wordpress blog for about 3 years mainly as a way of linking in with my hobby of photography and it mainly seems to hover around 1,000,000 global rank and 30,000 uk rank

    so I doubt I get enough visits to generate much income - you would probably need to be in the top 100,000 to make much from monetisation and adding adds can make the site look a bit messy

    I think I may be missing the obvious, but when I click on someones name the dropdown menu only has:

    their username, followed by links for
    View public profile
    Send private messageFind more posts
    View all thanked posts
    Add to contacts


    I can't see an option to visit the users homepage, any suggestions? Thanks

    Click on the "View Public Profile" link, then click on the "Contact" tab. The homepage is in there.

    I'm using Firefox on windows 8.1.

    I still don't have the homepage option in the dropdown menu and when I click on View Public Profile there is no "Contact" tab displayed.

    I also seem to have lost the ability to quote from your replies when I reply - hmm, I'll go and try a different browser/alternative device.

    I've gone back to the "old" style, green version of the forum and can see exactly as you have described. It must be something to do with the "new" style forum. I'll pop over to the techie board later and ask there. Thanks again. PP

    Oh yes, you're quite right - none of that extra information appears if you're using the new style forum. What a strange thing.

    Oh dear, whenever I have accessed the forum from - for example - a work PC, and so not signed in, it's the new style, and I still have mine set to old style, so I always just assumed it was an inferior or less detailed forum for those who didn't want to register..

    I guess that's not the best feedback for their new design.. ! :|
