Issue with returning an item to Ebuyer

Options
Hi,

I bought a laptop on April 6th from Ebuyer.
Started using it the same day but noticed the WiFi disconnected intermittently.
Contacted them the same day asking for advice.
They replied a couple of days after asking me to upgrade firmware which was done but problem still continued.
Told them I wanted to return it for a refund - laptop was returned within 28 days.

Few days after Ebuyer received it they said there was no fault found and tried to post it back out to me. They said they tested it for “over an hour” with no WiFi issues.

The WiFi issue on the laptop is posted about on many forums.

Can anyone advise of my rights?

Thanks

You have an absolute right to reject for online purchases (i.e. change of mind), but the seller can reduce the amount of refund to account for the loss of value of the goods due to your handling/usage.

Has the laptop arrived back with you?
    What make/model is it?

Try the Techie Stuff forum to see if people know a permanent fix?

The laptop hasn’t arrived back - I managed to get them to call the parcel back (I’ve moved address)

Yes, I have multiple laptops/pc all connected to the same WiFi for work. Tried with 4g hotspot too.

They have 14 days to send it back using the change of mind rights (OP mentions 28) it doesn't seem they did this. Instead they are trying the faulty route, not the same thing.

The problem is now the fact that no fault has been found or admitted so it's now an independent report to make them change their mind.
