On a subject like this when people can make money,
you always get the one's that have been on here for 2,3 4 5 years
with a 1 or 2 or hundreds of posts, that suddenly come online, to
cause confusion for any body new !!! ?

It is the internet, don't trust anything you READ.

As a matter on interest on switching what is everybody with multiple current accounts and credit cards answering when they are asked for their current bank account and number of credit cards. I've got lots of different current accounts opened on different dates and they normally only ask for one and when it was opened and I've got so many credit cards (most only used when they were interest free) that I'm actually not sure how many there are!

I answered the Q for existing a/c with my main a/c number- not the one I am switching- (especially as it is the a/c I have held for the longest term)

I do know how many credit cards I have- that's a question that has come up with Lloyds fraud dept- so I want to get it right!!

    No money out my a/c........
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything! --
    Many thanks

I gave details of the current account I wanted switching and the correct number of credit cards that I had. I think that because I hadn't had the account for long I was not offered an overdraft, but I'm not worried about that.

I know what you are saying but this has definitely been taken from the account and the balance shows this. I'll just see if it goes back in the next couple of days. As you said before there was a message saying they do not take any money from the card but they have done in this case which I find a bit annoying.

Same for me too, my yorkshire account is showing a debit today too as opposed to an earmark.

well logged into yorkshire and the £1.01 has disappeared completely no mention of it in or out at all, as if it never happens, I am now wondering if displaying it as if its normal transaction is just how yorkshire shows pending/pre authorised debit card transaction (as cannot find any where to see earmarked payments, unlike on some of my other accounts, can't find a seperate listing on the app or internet banking to view them).

By my count I've got 15 credit cards but their number went way higher than that so I'm fine :)

(I don't think I've got or ever had a NatWest one though...)
