Three SIM-only and Refer a Friend

Is there any way to combine the Three SIM-only deal (£8 a month for 8GB of data and unlimited minutes) with Three's Refer a Friend promotion? When I go to the site via the Refer a Friend link, the best deal I can see is £10 a month for 4GB of data, meaning that by the end of the contract I'd be no better off than if I'd ignored the promotion and just used the affiliate link.

Essentially, is there any cunning way to have my cake and eat it?
