New customer under partners name

In my previous property our BT account was in my partners name. When we moved, we used my name to take advantage of the new customer deal, we've been in my name for 2 and a half years. Our contracts about to be up, and the deals they're offering as an existing customer are abismal.
Can I cancel the account in my name, and have my partner sign up as a new customer, even though he's been a customer in a previous property 2 and a half years ago? Unsure if it's doable, and I knew this would be the place to ask!
Thank you in advance
