Why are they asking you if you are just an acquaintance? Have they exhausted all their friends first who said no.

I'd consider it cheeky to ask a friend or aquaintance to pick me up at 3am! If they were good enough to do it, I'd certainly offer to cover their expenses.

It's going to cost you about £12-15 in fuel.

If you were going to charge, you could charge, say, the HMRC published rate, which'd be about double that.

    It's 3am ....

Is he a mate, or did you feel pulled over a barrel to do it?

I would never ask anyone to do such a thing: why doesn't he take a taxi?

The reasonable amount for you to ask is approximately the taxi fare, but then you would need appropriate insurance...

He's driving an Ibiza, not a Maserati!

OP, £6 for fuel, £4 for W&T, call it a tenner. Anything more is taking the pee. For £30 your 'friend' may as well use a mini cab.

No. Either do it for the cost of petrol and a couple of quid on top i.e. a tenner, or make an excuse for why you can't do it.
