Social fund have they stopped taking calls?

I have been trying to speak to Social fund this week about a loan they said I can have but after pressing 3 to speak to someone it cuts off.
So has anyone else been having trouble getting hold of them.
I sent back the form I had to sign to accept loan over 2 weeks ago but still it's not been paid so wanted to check they have got it.

Had the same problem yesterday and will be trying again today. Assume you were calling 0800 169 0140.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

I sent my forms back about a month ago and they said they didn't receive them. Sent a second lot back yesterday but I think they have a major backlog.
I was on in a queue waiting to talk to a human for over an hour!0 -
Same issue today. It is either volume or holidays.
Went a different route and called the DWP helpline. It may, as it did in the case I am dealing with, throw up a different approach.Unlike some here, I am not omniscient. If I am wrong correct me. I won't take offence.

What number did you call?
I got hold of someone when I called today after waiting 70 minutes to be told my form has not got there after sending it back over 2 weeks ago so they are sending it again for me to sign and no doubt will have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to get loan.
What happens if the 1st one turns up will they still pay it or wait for me to send back the 2nd one?0 -

I got a text yesterday saying they have the first form I posted and the money will be in my account next week. They must have a backlog. It took about 3/4 weeks for them to get it!0 -
Be known it to take anywhere up to six weeks so three to four is not bad at all.0
