How old is vintage?

I guess it depends on where you start from.... I would have instinctively said "vintage" meant pre-1950 and "retro" meant 50s, 60s or 70s. But also some people use retro to mean a modern reproduction in an older style so you also need to be cautious of that. I can't bring myself to think of the 80s as a "vintage" period when that was my teenage years... although logic tells me there are buyers and sellers born in the 90s so to them it is history... Then you've got "classic" which can also have multiple meanings.I need to think of something new here...0

80s - retro/vintage
70s and below - true vintage0
