Transfering to Vanguard

I hold a few funds within the ISA wrapper on the Ageas platform. It's my intention to soon start investing in one of the VLS for this years ISA allowance. (I've not invested any money for 2018/19 so far)
If I wanted to transfer all or part of my existing S&S funds at some point over to Vanguard, my understanding is that I'd first need to arrange for any of the funds currently held via Ageas to be sold & the monies then invested with my chosen Vanguard fund. Is this correct as obviously I don't want to risk any of my ISA investments losing out on their tax free status & that they completely stay within the ISA wrapper?

The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Yes, this came up on a similar thread a few days ago: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5879849/s-s-isa-transfer-checking-my-understanding
As ever with ISA transfers, ensure you use the receiving provider's ISA transfer process to retain the wrapped status.0
