Easyjet price drop dilema S.O.S.

Help please, what to do when you spot Easyjet flights booked have dropped substantially in price?
Booked a family of 4 in April on seat release day £764 to travel in October.
Same flights are £498 today.
Any ideas sincerely appreciated on any actions I can take to recover the loss?

I noticed the drop in price as I was going to sell my tickets as we no longer want to travel due to health challenges that do not qualify for an insurance claim.

Often asked question.....which usually gets the same responses. If the price had gone up, would you feel so guilty that you'd offer to pay easyJet the difference?

    Can you sell EJ tickets?

If so ,you can still sell them just for less than you thought, but it would still be better than losing it all

Even if the tickets can be sold whoever buys them will need to pay Easyjet's charges for name changes. Unless you sell them very cheaply I can't see why anybody would bother when they can buy them direct from Easyjet at a reasonable cost.

While I'd agree in general, in this case if the OP hadn't looked they could now be trying to sell their tickets for much more than they can possibly hope to get because of the price drop.

For 4 pax return, the names changes alone would be £200 (£25x8) if you did sell them.

When you booked you needed to book and were happy.
    Don't look back.

Thanks, lesson learnt that seat release day is not always the best time to book.
Have written off the cost, £20 per flight to change names is hefty, not worth the hassle to sell

easyjet are one of the few cheap carriers who do have a heart. I had to cancel a flight due to emergency surgery and they gave me a credit to use within a year. Have you contacted them to explain why you can not now go?
