Barclays Current Account with Blue Rewards. How to Switch?
Comments

The thing that surprises me about these checks is that it's all about income, nothing about wealth, which surely be more indicative of credit worthiness.0

After my account was approved, I received a call from a third party company offering to review life insurance.
Coincidence or not, I do not know!
Did anyone get such calls?0 -
But today I joined the MSE Credit Club to get my Experian score.
It is 902/999. Is that bad? There were some mild comments in the summary bit.
Your credit score is meaningless and is only there to sell a product to you. Companies do not see your fabricated credit score and certainly dont use it.
What matters is whats on the report.
I will give you an example; I applied for a M&S account, I was declined. I got my letter which suggested I obtain a copy of my credit file - it was made to sound like there was fraud happening and late payments etc. There was none of that. I wont go into specifics, but I know what the problem is, but they cant tell me, otherwise it means you may be able to bypass their checks.
Personally I dont rate Barclays - customer service is terrible for a start, but for the rewards it could have been worth it.0 -
After all the hassle and waste of time just to open an account, I will be using Barclays only for the £11 reward.
Will setup up SOs to pay in and out in six days.
There are better banks around for everything else.0
