Boiler breakdown

Hi all
My boiler has given up the ghost tonight
Looks like the fan has died
I’m looking at British Gas and EDF for one off call out £99 all in
Does anyone recommend or suggest different ??
No hot water or heat so need it sorting ASAP

why not try the gas engineer who services the boiler

Those should be your last port of call. RIP off prices and will simply condemn your boiler. Look at check a trade and get a local gas expert out to do a proper job.

Can anyone give me an idea of how much a fan replacement would be
Only ball park so I can make sure I’m not getting ripped off

£250 ball park figure.

SSE do a £150 fixed price repair which I recommend or if the boiler is older they do a £75 repair as long as you take out the £16.95PM breakdown cover. Well worth it for older boilers where anything can happen.

£50 for me, although did have new boiler fitted last year.
