    No one said incorrect.

The Judge was mighty interested in my brother in laws case.............and he won but thanks anyway.

Since the landlord didnt accept any of my offers to settle or attempt to negotiate with me, I will be waiting for court letters !
  • If anyone on hear has experience in this I would greatly appreciate some help in private ! !
  • The landlord on paper is the girl who is also a student and lived in the house with me, the house was bought for her by her father
That's what they told you but it sounds like he is the real owner.
If he owns it's, doesn't live there, but your contract is with him then you were not a lodger but a tenant giving you more rights and he could be in spot of bother if he hasn't met certain legal obligations that a non resident landlord has to meet.

Ignore him and let him take you to court if he wants. I bet he won't though!

If court proceedings have been issued or are close to being issued, you might wish to try a different forum. MSE is not really the place. You could try CAG.

Yep........you can always settle before court once you have the papers if you are worried, thats if he/she ever issues them. You will have to add the costs of course.
