    Oh no it isn't:rotfl:

But it can be found in settings Tap General > About and Scroll down to locate the IMEI number.

    Oh yes it is :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You probably shouldn't act cocky when you're wrong...
Find the serial number or IMEI on your iPhone

On these devices, find the serial number in Settings and the IMEI/MEID (the MEID is the first 14 digits of the IMEI) on the back.

If you need support but you can't view the Settings menu, you can use the IMEI/MEID instead of the serial number:

    iPhone 6 Plus
    iPhone SE
    iPhone 5s
    iPhone 5c
    iPhone 5

It's amazing how stupid a person can look just by typing a single line and adding a smilie ;)

Aside from the silly person with the smile thing :rotfl: I thought it was etched? not engraved?

Mine was a question rather than a silly assumption!

My comments were more aimed at the :rotfl:person, but I'm no expert on the etching/engraving process so just used what I thought was the most accurate word.

Etching appears to be defined as:
    Definition of etch in English:

    etch
    VERB

Engrave (metal, glass, or stone) by coating it with a protective layer, drawing on it with a needle, and then covering it with acid to attack the parts the needle has exposed, especially in order to produce prints from it.

So whilst etching is actually a form of engraving, I'd argue the word engrave is actually more accurate (by definition):
    Definition of engrave in English:

    engrave
    VERB

Cut or carve (a text or design) on the surface of a hard object.
