This now makes three days in a row that the service has been unavailable when I've tried to log in. It's getting really frustrating!

There's a complaint form at https://portal.nationet.com/nationwide/forms/making-a-complaint.asp, I've written and I suggest other customers do so as well.

    Working now for me too.
  • I had same problems over last three days too.

Didn't seem to be unavailable for too long though so never really thought of complaining.

Depends on your tolerance levels I suppose.

If it persists then I may reconsider my stance.

Still in first year as a Nationwide customer.

Complete nightmare. I applied for a FlexDirect account last week, and have been trying to register for internet banking. It says I'm already registered, but as I cannot provide my memorable details (because I never provided any in the first place) I need to re-register. So I am trying to re-register, and it won't let me because it thinks I am already registered. Been waiting for 45 minutes for someone to answer the phone.
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

I had exactly the same happen. I applied online, welcome pack and pin arrived very quickly followed by debit card the day after. When I had sort code and AC number I tried to set up online banking and got the same response. A letter with a pin code arrived the following day and it was simple thereafter.
I haven't been sent a card reader but my Smile one works.
