Small Claims Solicitors

I was ticketed at work (an NHS site) in Feb for parking on a restricted line. There were no other spaces available on the site and I was not causing an obstruction. Others at work have ignored these letters and they have not been taken to court, just harassed.

I have ignored various letters from debt recovery plus but this morning I have received one from small claims solicitors demanding I pay DRP £130 or Legion Group may issue legal proceedings at County Court.

I've searched and it seems not many people have got this far? Are they actually going to take me to court then??

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I thought it was written by SCS which put me on edge a little bit.

It's Legion Group who would take me to court isn't it? If they write to me to say they are going to start legal proceedings then it is in my interest to respond then, correct?

Respond ONLY if you get actual (verified) court papers.

Debt collectors cannot 'take you to court'!

And if you want an idea of whether Legion are likely to do so, have a read of these two FOI requests which show the latest data (over an 18 month period) of PPCs who have 'done court'.

Tell me when you find Legion on the list.

Obviously not a cast iron guarantee that they won't, but I wouldn't be losing any sleep over them.

If you're unsure, let us know exactly what you receive.

Currently, Miah Solicitors are another lot sending out loads of these threats, for ancient parking events.

Court papers will come ONLY from a Court with an authentic Court stamp, often Northampton.
Some scumpanies are mimicking Court stationery and imprints to frighten people into paying their unenforceable invoices.

Complaints are made for each and every case of this we hear of.
