What branded products can you not live without?

I know, this may be a shameful thread... but what branded products in your shopping can you not do without or not found a smart-price/shop branded version for?

Before I moved out I lived with my Mum who always buys branded everything, from cereal to crisps to drinks to bread. Nothing is smart price. Obviously now being on a limited budget, I do buy a lot more shop branded products but there are certain things that I've tried... and then gone back to the branded product.

e.g. Heniz, their ketchup, salad cream, tomato soup- no matter what I try, these I can't give up! Their beans I can give or take mind you.
Andrex- I think I'm just a loo roll snob!
Coca Cola- this one is for Mr.Kitty as I can stand store version of of Lilt & Sprite but he truly believes that this is the best.

Things like rice, dry pasta, flour, fruit juice... typical groceries I usually buy store branded things.

What yours?

Not quite "what I cannot live without" but if we are buying the following, then they have to be those brands:

    Heinz ketchup
    Heinz baked beans
    Nescafe instant coffee
    Fairy liquid
    Kelloggs cornflakes
    Coca Cola
    :heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

McVitie's Digestives -- a lot nicer than own-brand ones. I do buy the own-brand when MVitie's aren't on offer, luckily, they usually are.

I dont like anything in the value range. Cant live without Heinz baked beans, heinz spaghetti hoops Hovis best of both bread Heinz Vegetable soup

I dont like Fairy washing up liquid because its to harsh, so we have Morning Fresh. I love Morning Fresh. It smells amazing. We have an own brand Tomato Ketchup. Most frozen things we have are branded apart from meat. As for toilet roll we have the own brand one as the branded ones are expensive.

I cant stand the value toliet rolls! They are so rough! The kitchen roll we have is a little more expensive being a branded make (regina) but it lasts longer because its thicker. Again i cant stand the value Kitchen Roll! The own make Kitchen roll is thin. Some of the own brand biscuits are ok like short bread and all butter fruit biscuits, but cant have own brand or the value rich tea, or digestives they are yucky. I used to like Sainsburys (this is where we shop) own brand Custard creams but they have changed them and now they taste horrible. I dont like any of the value products at all. So my mum gets the custard creams them from the co op now. We all buy branded deodrants to. We buy branded soap/shower gel to, Palmolive/ imperial leather for soap and imperial leather shower gel and Ariel washing powder. We also have PG Tips and fairt trade tea bags Clipper i think they are called.
  • The only things which I will only buy the branded version of are:
    Alta Rica coffee
    Cravendale Milk
    Clover
    Total Greek yoghurt
    Branston Beans
    Langley Farm cottage cheese

Everything else I will compromise on. I actually prefer Aldi del Rivo orange juice, Aldi sweetner, Aldi jaffa cakes, Aldi American peanut butter and Aldi benefit cereal.
    Jane

ENDIS. Employed, no disposable income or savings!
  • Brands I can't live without:
    * Heinz tomato soup - I've tried various cheaper brands but nothing tastes as nice.
    * Marmite.
    * Dove deodrant (I've tried other brands, but none seem to last as long or they leave marks on my clothes).

Everything else, I tend to go for cheapest.

    Warbutons or Roberts Bread.

Branson Beans or Heinz at a push.

HP sauce (can't stand any oter brown sauce, yuck!).

I've actually converted to Aldi recently, and have switched from Fairy Washing Liquid to their Magnum, which has been fab! I bought their Fab style lolly ices too and the kids haven't even noticed. Same with their pop, the Dandelion and Burdock is lovely and the kids say the lemon and lime one is nicer than Sprite which they both love! And at 45p a bottle, I can't go wrong!

Loo roll I never used to skimp on, but now I think sod it and buy whatever is cheapest.

Same with butter too, I now buy one from Aldi and it seems to last longer, although I do love Clover and Lurpack still, but the price of them now, eeek!

I really used to be a brand snob, but with the price of everything shooting up, I'd rather buy cheaper stuff and get far more for my money, what with having a family of 5.
