tiger-com.com Shocking service (before you buy!, in my OPINION)

Posted this on another thread, but thought I would start a new thread after the attitude;
I had a call from a chap at tiger-com.com who was, to say the least very cocky and arrogant
He said he 'called for a chat' and wasn't calling for sales or marketing :rotfl:, although he called my mate who runs another electrical business trying to sell him a 0141 Glasgow number.
I have wrote a letter of complaint to Alison Williamson (Managing Director) at tiger-com.com (and apparently connected with www.telecom3.co.uk)
I sent copies of the first call where I told their customer 'dis-service' agent about TPS after he told me he found me in yell.com.
I will let you know how they deal with the complaint on this thread.
COPY OF EMAIL SENT;
Dear Tiger-Com
I am extremely disappointed at the antics of your company operative(s)
I was called on Wendesday 25th August from one of your employees who was – to put it mildly NOT a credit to your company. The copy of the call recording is attached 112757.amr. I was then called the following day – this is the second attached file.
On both occasions I have checked the number dialled was 01563 **** ****, which is a virtual number (of the type you seem to sell).
The most ironic thing is that I am currently looking for 3 geographical numbers and possibly an 0800 number to compliment my business, but find it very unlikely that I will be using your company. Had you emailed me I would have probably looked up the site and called your company.
My main complaint is that the operative who called on Wednesday and then on Thursday puts the image of your company in a poor light and also is breaking the law with regards to telemarketing calls- apparently he ‘just called for a chat’ and wasn’t selling things.
As a telecom provider I would assume you would be aware of the Telephone Preference Service, and as such should take concerns raised by potential clients on board, not ridicule them.
Your employee stated he obtained my number from YELL.COM and as you are aware this is illegal as the numbers you call should be TPS screened.
From the data provided (dates, time and duration of calls as well as number dialled by your operative) you should be able to pinpoint the employee concerned and take the appropriate action.
I look forward to your reply- detailing what action you have taken to ensure this does not happen again.
Regards

GLAD TO SEE THE Managing Director of a telecommunication provider takes the law on unsolicited telemarketing calls so seriously
Major barge pole material me thinksbaldly going on...0 -
OP - I think your next stop should be the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at http://www.ico.gov.uk/ - you can raise a complaint there, and attach copies of the emails as evidence - with a bit of luck, they'll step in and do something.0

I have also logged a complaint with tps-online as the numbers have beeen registered for months
Will wait and see what happensbaldly going on...0 -

You would have to be stupid to do business with Tigercom, if this is how they act. Somehow, I get an image of a business being run by 14 year old boys who are well aware of contract law to the extent that they know they are not bound to any contract because of their age.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. A 'Managing Director' who can't even manage to capitalise her own surname in her email signature!
Good grief.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
The 'managing director' obviously can not manage that well-
I have had NO acknowlegement from them in the past 48 hours, not even an acknowlegement saying they would get back to me :sad:
Not looking good for a communications company :rotfl:
Will post if any info appearsbaldly going on...0 -
Saw another person getting dumped on the other TIGERCOM THREAD.
No reply, acknowlegement or further contact from them (not really surprised)
Glad they took the complaint seriously :rotfl:baldly going on...0 -
Sadly only just found this advice. Shocking negligence of customers, serious fibbing on selling info, inability to credit any funds to my Orange account on a regular basis, if at all. All in all Crap phone crap service DO NOT TRUST TIGERCOM - RUN FROM THEM :mad:0

Agree with above totally! DO NOT TRUST Tiger.com. You have been warned. Think its a bigger issue though! I was"sold" an Orange contract which was to be half-paid for the duration of the contract by direct payment to Orange by Tiger.com. I was told no vouchers or cash back. No paperwork saying cashback or vouchers came to me. All ok for a few months then payments stopped. Tried contacting them, no luck. Called Orange, well, this is the scam part(in my opinion) they have been dragging their heels for nearly a year trying, in their opinion, to resolve the issue. In the meantime I have had to pay them full price. Do they care? They know what is going on and are happy doing nothing as full payment is coming in. They know what is happening with Tiger.com and do nothing. This stinks of a ripoff. Are any other major phone companies upto acts like this?0

I stupidly enquired about a marketing email in 2010. Free iPhone, unlimited texts, mins any time any network & Internet £40 per month £20 for the first 3 months. I had my phone a week and decided to call orange to check everything was fine. They then told me my actual tarrif! Unlimted land line calls and 300 texts! It took weeks of stress to sort this out after gaining 2 huge phone bills, bailiff letters talking to countless people at orange who said the fault lay with tiger com. Eventually one amazing person at orange called Natalie helped me out agree reading my email proof. Alison Williamson never did apologise but I wad fuming at the huge bills I had to pay. My 2 year contract is up soon and I cannot wait to get back on an O2 sim only contract. Don't be fooled by all tiger coms rubbish they try and get more cash out of you any way you can. At least call the network provider and ask them direct if the contract is genuine and always get proof on paper of what you are promised :mad:0
