Boiler turning itself off $350 to fix???

I wonder if anyone could help me.
I am renting my house out while living in Bermuda and have been informed that after a gas check on the house the boiler needs fixing because it keeps turning itself off.
They have quoted $350 (quid not pound sign on my keyboard), i was just wondering if there may be a simple reason or solution for this as the house is only 5 years old.
Since we have rented it out we have had 3 problems with the plumbing and now this in 1 year, we had no problems previously so i am a bit suspicious of the letting agent/tenant taking the !!!!!!.
Thanks
John

Is it a combi boiler? If so - they do turn off if water level is low!! Just need to top up (if that's the problem!) Don't know if this helps!!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100
