This will probably get moved as its not exactly a discussion but:-
I just wanted to say that without this forum i would more than likely have renewed my broadband package and accepted the first "discounted price" i was given. Reading on here that people are getting option 3 for 17.99 a month gave me that confidence to push a little more.
I have gone from opt 1 at £17.99 which i was offered for £14.99 and eventually £12.99 to opt 3 at £17.99 plus all those extra benifits.
My only gripe was that after 3 calls to a call centre outside the UK i eventually managed to speak to someone in Glasgow who was excellent and sorted my renewal in 5 minutes.
Just need to make sure i'm in when the new Hub Phone arrives next week.
Thanks everyone.:A

Also be aware that the BT Phone Hubs are locked to the BT Network.
If you wish to change providers in the future you will need to either revert to your old equipment or purchase new one (Or be lucky enough to get free equipment from new provider)0 -
Thanks didn't know that.
At least it will be better than what i have been doing for the last 12 months and that's plugging a standard phone into the back of the hub. Couldn't walk around, had to sit near the hub as i didn't have a spare walkabout unitThoughts:

The BT Home Hub can easily be unlocked by installing 'clean firmware'. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

how did you manage to get it for that price????? i tried no luck:mad: who did you speak to?0

I also had no luck. The guy I spoke to tried to tell me that the price was £32.99 for Option 3 and he would discount it to £24.99 because I was paying my Direct Debit and not having paper bills...
Who do you need to speak to to get it for £17.99???"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
