Hi,
Bought one of these for £7 in Tesco (Technika TKWOM2).
If I stop using it for 5 minutes I have to reset the USB receiver and the mouse for it to work again.
Is that normal on one of these meeces? It's a PITA if it is.
Cheers

I've got a £45 Lofitech, just the same, well kind of, it normally needs the reset/connect or switching USB ports just after start up, it's not all the time, but enough times to be annoying. There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0

Maybe worth reinstalling the drivers for it. I don't remember having to reset mine at all (Logitech)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

It's my second O.S. install, one was 32bit the other 64bit, the second motherboard too, all the same, it's not the batteries either, maybe I shouldn't be sitting 60' from my computer?:DThere are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0 -

Must be a strange quirk with the model and/or particular hardware configuration. I used to once or twice need to reconnect my MX900 (bluetooth) ages ago. Wasn't frequent and I haven't noticed any problem with my MX Revolution. Wonder if it's OS related, are you on Vista? (I'm on XP)."She is quite the oddball. Throw it out, (you've only lost £7), Pay a bit more and buy yourself a tidy one. It isn't worth the hassle.0

I have used "trackball" types for years now, and would never go back to a normal swing your arm around type again given the choice, even though my latest model has it's moments I don't regret paying £45 for it, it's as important as a graphics card, so don't be too tight.

Return it to Tesco for a refund and as others have sugested buy a decent mouse.
It could be power saveing settings on the usb port but I would proberbly go for the mouse being faulty.0
