Throw it out, (you've only lost £7), Pay a bit more and buy yourself a tidy one. It isn't worth the hassle.

Return it if it is faulty.
Whether you paid £7 or £70 it should still work as advertised.

    Any recommendations?
I upgraded my parents (from a crappy simple rollerball mouse) to a Microsoft Wireless Intellmouse Explorer 2.0. It was so nice to use I just bought myself one too! Nice and comfy on the hand.

The one I got for my parents also had a fingerprint reader built in to the receiver.
The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

  • Well, I paid £14 and got a Logitech LX5 which works much much better.

I also use a wireless trackball, never have to reset it. Only about £30
