are there any standby products which allows me to turn the products off??

hello all, I have a number of electric products which are on stanby thoughout the day and nite. Many of these products (tv, video, dvd etc..) have plugs sockets which i cant get access to, due to the furniture.

I have read there are products out there, which have remote controls, to help me turn products off from standby, from the sockets. does anyone know more about this subject???

ALDI were selling them about twelve months ago.

We bought two sets and they are worth the world.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Thanks to this thread I bought from Amazon at £17.99, now up to £22.95. One is fitted to the tv, games consoles etc as the plugs are at the back of the TV and its difficult to access them so the remote control is great.

Bought a set for the office so the pc, wireless router, printers etc can be switched off at night and especially over the weekend.

I've seen these before and they seem like a good idea but if the VCR, DVD Sky box etc all have clocks in them does that mean you have to reset them every time you turn them back on?
