If 'spec' includes price, then neither.0

Neither of them is good.
What is the 4k screen for with a low end GPU?0 -

The latter one gets you an SSD so will be noticably quicker for everyday tasks, etc.
Do you really need that big a screen on the move though?0 -

Out of curiosity, what would you both recommend thats better?
Genuinely curious. I'd be saying an XPS but i dont think they do a 17 inch screen on one.0 -

I wouldnt be constraining yourself to a laptop then if you dont need one.
BUT if its a 17 inch laptop you want and its not for out and out gaming then the HP with the SSD would be my choice of the two.
I've an Envy 13 but i travel a lot, so its size and lightness suits me better.0 -

An SSD fitted to yours and a Windows refresh / install to Win10 would work wonders for the one you have mind you...0
